What we collect when you order

  • Your name, phone number and email address.
  • Your delivery address: governorate, city and street.
  • Any notes you add to the order, and what you ordered.

Why we use it

To deliver your order, to call or message you about it, and to keep a record of the sale. We do not sell your data.

Who we share it with

  • The courier company that delivers your order: your name, phone number and address only.
  • Our hosting provider, Hostinger, which runs this website.
  • WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to message us there.

Cookies and storage in your browser

  • A shopping-cart cookie (WooCommerce), so your cart is kept while you shop.
  • Your dark or light theme choice, saved in your browser.
  • A note that you have already seen the opening animation, for this visit only.
  • Page caching by LiteSpeed, to make the site fast.
  • Your answer to the analytics question, so we ask only once.

Analytics, only with your OK

A small banner asks if we may use Google Analytics 4. Only if you say yes, it loads and counts visits, the pages and products viewed and the steps of an order (it sets Google’s _ga cookies). If you say no, nothing from Google loads. We do not use advertising cookies.

Services that load in your browser

  • Google Fonts (the website’s typefaces).
  • jsDelivr (an animation library, on desktop product sliders).
  • Google Analytics (Google LLC), only after you say yes.

These services receive your IP address when your browser loads their files.

How long we keep it

Order records: as long as Egyptian tax law requires us to keep sales records. Then we delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data: email info@oceangoods.net or message us on WhatsApp. In Egypt, Law No. 151 of 2020 on the Protection of Personal Data applies.
